Pizza

Ingredients
  • Pizza Dough (we use Trader Joe's Whole Food's Napoletana dough)
  • Pizza Sauce (also from TJ's)
  • Fresh Mozzarella, sliced 1/8" thick
Variations
  • Margarita: Roma tomatoes, sliced, Garlic, minced, Basil
  • Pepperoni: Applegate Natural pepperoni, red onions, garlic

  • Good extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt
Directions
  1. Take out the dough and let rest for at least 25 minutes
  2. Pre-heat oven to as hot as possible and place cast iron skillet Baking Steel on top rack
  3. On a floured parchment paper, stretch out the pizza dough till it's around 10" in diameter
  4. Spread the pizza sauce and ingredients
  5. Cover with cheese
  6. Move the pizza and pizza onto the baking steel
  7. Cook in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Drizzle on extra virgin olive oil (this is really important!)
Notes
Delicious. We like this without chicken.  Having good ingredients is key, especially good olive oil. I could drink from the bottle, it's that good.

Update: J really likes the natural pepperoni, it's so good with the red onion!
