BBQ Baby back ribs

Use snake method on weber kettle

  • 2x2: 2 briquettes wide on bottom and on top
  • 10 briquettes lit in chimney to start (the newspaper ashes flew everywhere)
  • Covered about 60% of the grill and piled the wood chips high. Lasted 4.5 hours
  • Should have rotated the ribs halfway but forgot and thought it would have been okay
  • Had to close the bottom and the top till it held around 225-230 degrees F
  • Cooked close to the brick wall/table so the thermometer can rest on it

Last Meal Ribs

  • These were really good
  • There was a bit of hard "bark" on it, kinda wishes it had more meat though!
  • Loved the kansas BBQ sauce on it, will do sauce on both next time with more sauce to put on when you eat
  • Accidentally did 1/2 tsp per pound instead of 1/4 and it still tasted great. Salted and spice rubbed the night before and lightly covered in plastic
Next time I would try costco ribs because they're meatier and put on the bbq sauce on both
