Beef Stew

Ingredients
1lb Beef chuck
2.5lbs Restaurant size potatoes
1 onion
Celery
Carrots
1 16oz can of tomatoes
2 Bay leaves
5 sprigs of thyme
Garlic
1/4tsp ground cloves
1 12oz broth carton
Flour
Salt & Pepper

Directions
1. Cut onions
2. Start browning onions
3. Cut beef into chunks, salt and pepper, then coat in flour
4. Remove onions and place on the side
5. Over high heat sear the beef, don't place too many in the pot or they won't sear well.
6. Scoop beef off to side.
7. Pour broth into pan to deglaze. Scrape off the brown bits and fill the pot with the rest of the broth. Bring to a simmer
8. Put the beef, tomatoes, thyme, bay leaves, garlic, and ground cloves into the pot and simmer for 40 minutes.
9. While that simmers, peel and cut the potatoes. Cut the carrots and the celery.
10. Taste the broth and salt as necessary. Add the potatoes and carrots, simmer for 30 minutes.
11. Add the celery and simmer for 10 minutes
12. Salt to taste.

The end!

This time I added some tomato paste, it was full of flavor! Yum!
