Walnut and Garlic Pesto Pasta

Ingredients
12 oz dry spaghetti
1 1/2 C packed fresh basil (can also mix with fresh oregano, mint, tarragon, parsley, etc.)
6 cloves garlic
salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
1/3 C walnuts
1/2 C olive oil
1/2 C grated parmesan

1 LemonHot pepper flakes

Directions
  1. Roughly chop garlic & herbs, pound in mortar & pestle or a food processor
  2. Add in 1/2 C of walnuts and pound
  3. Add in 1/4 C olive oil, mash, then the 1/4 left over
  4. Add in hot pepper flakes
  5. At this point, you can store the pasta in the fridge 
  6. Make your pasta, pour on pesto and mix.
  7. Toss on grated parmesan then a few walnuts
  8. Squeeze on half a lemon
