T's Family's Dad's Not So Secret Steak

Ingredients
5-6 lbs top sirloin steak 2 1/2 inches thick (approx. 6 lbs)
1/3 C vegetable oil
1 Tbsp steak sauce
2 Tbsp shoyu
2 Tbsp oyster sauce
2 Tbsp mirin
3/4 C brown sugar
2 Tbsp Hawaiian salt

Directions
Place oil, shoyu, mirin, steak, and oyster sauce in baking pan and mix thoroughly. Put whole steak in the pan and hand rub sauce onto steak on both sides and ends. Rub brown sugar on top side, lightly sprinkle with salt and rub into meat. Turn steak over and rub with brown sugar and salt. Marinate for 2-4 hours. Place on hot coals (no flame) and sear both sides. Close cover and cook for approximately 45 minutes for medium rare. Slide Chateaubriand style and serve.
