BBQ Chicken Thighs and BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

BBQ Sauce

1 C ketchup
1/4 C white vinegar
1/4 C brown sugar
2 Tbsp  sweet paprika
1 Tbsp chili powder
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne
1/2 tsp sea salt

Directions


  1. Combine all bbq sauce ingredients in a medium sauce pan and simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occassionally.
  2. Pat down chicken thighs with a paper towel and cook over a preheated grill over medium low heat. Grill for 30 minutes with the lid down, turning occasionally.
  3. As the chicken nears being done, brush BBQ sauce over the chicken every 5 minutes until done and the sauce is stick. 

Notes

Tasty, the BBQ sauce has a touch of vinegar, spice, smokiness, and sweetness (without being too sweet). It's quite delicious!
